Jakhu Temple
Jakhu Temple is an large and one of the main attraction for the Visitor's or The Tourist.
Dedicated to the Hindu Lord Hanuman. It is situated on Jakhu Hill, Shimla's highest peak, 2.5 km from the The Ridge and 2,455 m above the sea level. A statue of "Shri Hanuman Jakhu" built in the area of temple which is one of the tallest in the world.
According to the Ramayana, Shri Hanuman stopped here at the location (Jakhu Hill) for rest while searching for the Sanjivni Booti to revive Lakshmana. A huge 108-feet-high idol of Hanuman was built at the Jakhu Temple on 4 November 2010. The overall cost of construction was Rs 1.5 crores.
If anyone can visit the "Shri Hanuman Temple Jakhu" they can go there by foot, horse, taxi and with the help of Ropeway. The Jakhu Ropeway is an type of lift that links a point nearby the center of Shimla to the temple. It was developed by Jagson International Limited in 2017. Ropeway is helpful for all the Devotees, whether older or younger.
It is also known as Cable Car and Carrying of 480kg. Only six person can allow at a time.
